Service Description
Essential city water testing, expanded to include VOCs. This service is the essential drinking water quality testing for one (1) sample in a home, building, or facility served by a municipal water utility. It is ideal for homeowners and buyers evaluating long-term health and maintenance considerations when purchasing a home. This expanded panel includes the same core water chemistry and plumbing-related metals found in our City Water - Essentials panel, plus additional screening for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and chlorine disinfection-related byproducts. Pre-sampling requirement: At least one faucet must have no water use for 12 hours prior to sampling, but must have been used within the last 36 hours. Ideally, choose a faucet where the aerator/screen can be removed. Typical lab turnaround: Results are generally reported in 4-5 business days (when the lab is open and processing normally). Parameters analyzed: 109 parameters analyzed by a certified water laboratory including: • 47 core parameters (same as City Water - Essentials) Plus • 44 VOCs • 6 disinfection byproducts • 7 petroleum compounds • 2 pesticides • Total THMs (calculated) Full List of 109 parameters available upon request. Please review our refund policy for lab tests below: Refund Eligibility & Fees: - Refunds for lab test purchases are subject to a 10% fee. This fee covers transaction costs and restocking expenses associated with lab test kits and materials. - Refund requests must be made before any sample has been collected. - Once a sample has been collected or shipped to customers home for self collection, refunds are no longer available. Turnaround Times & Delays: - Lab test turnaround times are calculated from the date your sample is collected and sent to the lab, not the date of purchase. - While most test results are reported within the quoted timeframe, this is not a guaranteed completion window. Factors such as holidays, lab closures, or unforeseen circumstances may delay reporting. - We appreciate your understanding and patience with any delays that may arise.
