Dustin Bartel — Owner & Certified Water Professional
When we moved to the Colorado foothills, our well water was the last thing on our minds. That changed fast. Strange staining in the sinks. An odd smell we couldn't place. And when we started asking around, the answers we got ranged from vague to alarming — and the solutions people tried to sell us didn't always match the problem.
I did what most people do: I called the companies that came up first. Some were helpful. Others showed up with a sales pitch before they'd even tested the water. One visit left us with more questions than we started with and a quote for equipment we weren't sure we needed.
That frustration became the turning point. I started studying — not just Googling, but actually pursuing professional certification. I earned my Colorado Certified Water Professional license (CWP-WS-00300-0224) through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, became a licensed Radon Measurement Professional (RME.000677), and joined the Water Quality Association to stay current on industry standards and best practices.
Along the way, I realized something: most homeowners on well water aren't looking for a sales pitch. They're looking for someone who will test first, explain clearly, and recommend only what the data actually supports. That's the business I wanted to build — and that's what Healthy Home Solutions is today.
Every evaluation starts with testing. Every recommendation is based on your results, not a quota. And if your water looks fine? I'll tell you that too.
When I'm not testing water or crawling around wellheads, you'll probably find me coaching youth hockey, managing a Destination Imagination team, or volunteering with the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce, where I currently serve as Second Vice President. Danelle and I chose the foothills because we wanted to be part of a real community — and serving our neighbors through honest, expert water quality guidance is how we do that.
