Lab Testing - Essential
Drinking water quality testing for a home, building, or facility served by municipal or well water.
Service Description
Specialized testing for one (1) drinking water sample. This panel analyzes common well-water health concerns—such as heavy metals, bacteria, and nitrates—along with natural water chemistry and indicators that can point to on-premise plumbing issues. Service includes professional sample collection and delivery to a certified laboratory. Pre-sampling requirement: At least one faucet must have no water use for 12 hours prior to sampling, but must have been used within the last 36 hours. Ideally, choose a faucet where the aerator/screen can be removed. Typical lab turnaround: Results are generally reported in 7–10 business days (when the lab is open and processing normally). 56 Parameters Analyzed, 53 by Certified Water Laboratory • Free Chlorine Strip - performed on location • Tannins - performed on location • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) - preformed on location • Bicarbonate • Carbonate • Chloride-to-Sulfate Mass Ratio • Grains per gallon • Hardness (Ca,Mg) • Hardness (Total) • Langelier Saturation Index • Sodium Adsorption Ratio • pH • Aluminum • Boron • Calcium • Iron • Lithium • Magnesium • Phosphorus • Potassium • Silica • Sodium • Strontium • Titanium • Zinc • Antimony • Arsenic • Barium • Beryllium • Cadmium • Chromium (Total) • Cobalt • Copper • Lead • Manganese • Mercury • Molybdenum • Nickel • Selenium • Silver • Thallium • Tin • Uranium • Vanadium • Chloride • Fluoride • Nitrate (as N) • Nitrite (as N) • Sulfate • Turbidity • Alkalinity (as CaCO3) • Hardness • Specific Conductivity • Total Dissolved Solids • E. coli • Total Coliform Scheduling note (time-sensitive samples): Bacteria samples must be delivered to the lab within 24 hours (while the lab is open).
